Thelma Singleton Willis, 92, of Wytheville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009. She was a member of the Bland Eastern Star #41. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Willis.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Sparrow, of Wytheville; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Joe and Mari Willis, of Murrell's Inlet, S.C., Dr. John and Jane Willis, of Richlands, and Dr. Jerry and Judy Willis, of Wytheville; other family member, Warant Officer Harlan G. Sparrow III; grandchildren, Mark and Robin Willis, Dr. Scott and Paige Willis, Craig and Sue Ellen Willis, Dr. Lee and Dr. Wendy Willis, Jane Curtis and Kent Warner, Aaron Andrew Willis, Jenifer and Tom Marks, Virginia and Marco Warner, Sarah and Glen Martin, Jane Erie and Gyanu Shrestha, Harlan IV and Jung Sparrow, and Hillary Sparrow; 23 greatgrandchildren; and four greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 24, 2009, in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Norman Wilhoit with the interment in the West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Grubb Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ray and Thelma Willis Scholarship Fund, c/o Virginia Chiropractor Student Assistance Fund, P.O.
